KLouWags Community Pet Pantry
The Shed Cats are part of what inspired this whole idea. Caring for them showed how much a little community help can matter — and over time, more neighbors started reaching out because they're temporarily struggling to feed their own animals. This is a small, community-supported way for Long Beach neighbors to help one another.

The 5:30 morning ritual
Around 5:30 every morning, before the world wakes up, I'm out feeding my small stray and community-cat colony. I built them a little shed and shelter, and those quiet early mornings have become a ritual of stillness, connection, responsibility, and gratitude.
Showing up for them every day is one of the most meaningful parts of this work for me — a quiet practice of caring for animals who depend on me, and beginning each day with that kind of love.
Caring for them showed me how much a little community help can matter. That same spirit grew into this pantry — for neighbors who are temporarily struggling to feed their own animals.
Sponsor the Shed Cats→Local Long Beach residents who are temporarily struggling to feed their pets can submit a private request through the app. Your name and situation are never posted publicly. Once a month, I review the requests along with whatever food, supplies, or monetary donations have actually come in, and distribute what I reasonably can. If someone can't be helped that month, their request can roll over to the following month.
Please know: assistance depends entirely on available donations, food, supplies, funds, and resources and cannot be guaranteed. KLouWags is creating a community-supported resource — I'm not personally guaranteeing or purchasing food for every request. This program is for the Long Beach community only.
These are the items that are most useful right now. We can keep adding to this list as needs change.
You can contribute money toward purchasing pet food and supplies using the same donation option as the Shed Cats area. Every bit helps feed a neighbor's pet.
Contribute via Venmo→I don't have a public drop-off address or PO Box, and my home address is not listed anywhere on the site. If you'd like to donate physical food or supplies, please reach me through the website first — I'll privately arrange receiving your donation when it's appropriate.
